New Battery Grips for Canon!

21 September, 2010

hähnel have added another three battery grips to their range with the HC-5D (for Canon EOS 5D MKII), HC-7D (for Canon EOS 7D) & the HC-550D (for Canon EOS 550D)

All grips are fitted with a vertical shutter release, making shooting with the camera in a vertical position is just as comfortable as shooting horizontally. Having the vertical grip allows the user to shoot from a more comfortable and stable position and therefore gives easier handling with larger lenses.

Power is doubled through multiple power sources. One or two Li-Ion batteries* or 6 AA Mignon alkaline or rechargeable Ni-MH batteries can be used. This is especially useful when taking advantage of the camera's movie mode or Live View mode.

Built-in Power Management regulates the power output to the camera for maximum efficiency. The Power Management detects use of Li-ion or AA batteries automatically.

Some Canon DSLRs do not have an integrated infrared receiver and only offer the remote control as an expensive separate accessory. hähnel has managed to create the perfect solution by introducingthe HC-5D and HC-7D Pro battery grips with an infrared remote control system. This enables such users to experience the benefits of a fully integrated remote control system, even if their particular camera does not offer such an advantage.
