  1. Is the Combi TF compatible with the Olympus OM-D?

Yes, the Combi TF for Olympus is compatible with the Olympus OM-D EM-5.

  2. Is the Combi TF compatible with the Nikon SB-400 flash gun?

No, the Combi TF is not compatible with the SB-400 flash gun. Once the SB-400 is removed from the camera, it reverts to TTL mode which the Combi TF does not support.

  3. Is the Combi TF compatible with Interfit Studio Lights?

The Combi TF is compatible with the Interfit EX150. Other Interfit models have not been tested as compatible.

  4. I am using the Combi TF with my Panasonic G1 camera. Which end of the cable should I connect to the camera?

The end with the grey plastic must go to the Combi TF receiver and the end with the black plastic must go to the camera body.

  5. Can I use a Combi TF with TTL-only flash guns?

No, it must be possible to set the flash gun to manual mode to use the Combi TF.

  6. How do I get wireless flash and wireless camera remote control?

Use a Combi TF - receiver attached to flash gun and transmitter attached to camera shoe - for wireless flash control. For wireless shutter release, use either a second Combi TF or a Giga T Pro - receiver attached to remote input and transmitter handheld. Ensure that each set of remote controls are on separate channels, to avoid cross-unit activation.

  7. Can I use older flash guns with a high sync voltage?

No, it is not recommended you use a high sync voltage flash gun with the Combi TF. In some instances the flash may work, but there is a risk the flash gun will damage the Combi TF.

  8. How do I change the channel on my remote control?

On the transmitter, slide off the battery cover on the back of the unit. Set the four switches to the desired position. On the receiver, slide off the battery cover on the back of the unit. Remove the batteries. Set the four switches to the same position as the transmitter. Multiple receivers being activated by one transmitter must be on the same channel as this transmitter. Note: The position of the switches is irrelevant, once they are the same on the transmitter and all associated receivers.

  9. Can I trigger a flash gun directly without the transmitter on the camera shoe?

No, the flash gun must be triggered by the Combi TF transmitter in the camera shoe, using the camera shutter release button, to ensure synchronisation between the shutter release and the flash gun.

  10. Are there any plans to produce the Combi TF for Sony DSLR's?

At this time, there are no immediate plans to produce the Combi TF for Sony. Please continue to check our website for any further updates.
